The Trio, approved by the FDA in 2010, is an eFlow nebulizer system used with inhalant solutions used to treat P. aeruginosa, a bacterial infection common in patients with Cystic Fibrosis, which can cause breathing difficulty, pneumonia and a lack of oxygen.
The trio can be used in conjunction with TOBI, Hyptertonic Solution, Dornsa alfa, Bronchodilators, Colistin and Budesonide Respules to fight P. Aeruginosa.
The Trio is portable, light and contains cutting edge vibrating membrane technology for fast and effective treatment.

Components of the Trio
The Trio system is made with eFlow Technology which serves as the controller and power source of the nebulizer. The Trio system runs on four AA batteries as well as having an option for using an outlet for power.
The handset of the Trio system is where the medication is mixed. With an easy to use handset and mouthpiece the Trio handset makes treatments effective, simple and quick.
Tips for the Trio
- Do not mix medications, use only one medication for your Trio.

The eFlow is intended for adult and pediatric patients. The FDA has not approved any combination of a medication with the eFlow SCF/ Trio device as a drug/device combination.
